Phil Haas, Jefferson County 2000 Realtor of the Year

Phil was born in Valley Falls, Kansas, where he attended elementary school and high school. After graduation from Emporia State College in 1964, Phil went to Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. He served on the USS America from January 1965 to December 1966. In January 1967, he was assigned to the Denver Navy Recruiting Station.

Phil made his start in real estate in January 1969, and in November 1969 he married his wife, Donna. They have three children, Ryan, Lisa and Sara, and Ryan and Lisa work with their father as Realtors. In addition to Lisa and Ryan, The Haas Team is made up of Todd Welch, Phil’s son-in-law; his nephew Zac Brown; and Lisa’s life-long friend Tammy Bray.

In 2000 Phil was honored as Jefferson County’s Realtor of the Year for his years of service to various committees. Over the course of his career he has sold more than 2,000 homes in the Denver Metro Area, working in residential-commercial and land development. He enjoys traveling with Donna, playing golf and spending time with his grandson, Brody Welch.
